The Burton Scholarship Fund for Decoration
This charitable fund has been established in commemoration of Harold J. Burton and John H. Burton his son, both founder members of the Faculty of Decoration.
Objectives Of The Trust ( Abstract)
To advance the education of those persons preparing to follow a career in the art and craft of decoration.
To award such bursaries, scholarships, medallions, diplomas, certificates or other benefits for educational purposes to persons whose qualifications achieve the standards recommended by the Council of the Faculty of Decoration from time to time and are approved by the Trustees.
To encourage research into all aspects of decoration and to publish the results of such research.

To conduct appeals for money or other gifts to support the objects of the Fund and the Trustees may from time to time solicit and accept legacies, donations, gifts, devices, bequests, subscriptions and endowments either in money or property of any description whatsoever, either absolutely or conditionally.
To obtain the co-operation of Public Bodies, Corporations, Authorities, Firms or individuals in furthering the objects of the trust.
Wherever possible help and advice from the Trustees of the fund is given to young people in furtherance of their studies or careers. Any one seeking information on awards, or any other matter should contact the Trustees through the secretary of the Faculty of Decoration.
