Membership - Classes Of Membership
FELLOW (designation FFD. )
This is the senior class of corporate membership. All Fellows of the Faculty will have met the criteria for membership. There are various routes to Fellowship class and this will depend on a persons formal qualifications, experience within their particular field and their personal attainment.
ASSOCIATE CLASS ( designation AFD.)
This non-corporate class of membership is open to all persons over the age of 19 years
who have gained a National Vocational Qualification Level 3 / 4 in a decorative subject. Certain other approved qualifications are considered. Associate members are encouraged to progress to corporate Fellowship.
STUDENT MEMBER
People who are studying on courses leading to a qualification in a decorative subject are encouraged to become registered students of the Faculty. Students are an integral part of the Faculty of Decoration and are encouraged to work towards becoming full corporate members of the institute, in the first instance as Diploma members and then as corporate members with the appropriate designatory letters to indicate their status.
